I’m Mara. I love to support people who are working to create tranquil, beautiful homes. That is why I founded The Beautiful Sort.

For fifteen years I worked as a middle school and high school English teacher, fitting in time for home organization, DIY, and interior design during my summers and holiday breaks. I’m thrilled to turn my attention to this passion full time. My experience as an educator has taught me to be clear and caring, qualities I bring to each client’s project.

As a parent and pet owner, I understand the unique challenge of balancing order and sanity while providing for those in our care. I bring this expertise to each project, and love creating homes that work for all their inhabitants.
